“After we purchased our very small 1930’s cottage, it was obvious that we had to build and renovate but our vision for what the property could and should be was not so clear. We spent many hours researching local architects to try and get an understanding of what we liked, and we met with a couple of architects to discuss what was possible and to get a feel for their style and approach.
Our first meeting with Shaun was friendly, relaxed, informative and reassuring – Shaun’s ability to provide easy-to-understand, meaningful feedback and guidance on what was achievable and what some key pinch points were for a design and build was very much appreciated. We knew then and there that we had found the right team. Shaun’s mantra of ‘happy projects’ is, on reflection, something that he and his team truly believe in and it is evident in their working culture.
As daunting as it is to undertake a major renovation and extension, the team at SLa were always there to guide us through and provide clarity to what otherwise appeared to be a jumble of hurdles, approvals and technical details. Their attention to detail and straightforward communication style made for a smooth project.
We are ecstatic with the final design and build – we have a spacious home that exceeds all of our family needs which we plan to enjoy for many years to come. We cannot thank Shaun, Neva and the SLa team enough for helping us create our beautiful home.”
