SLa is thrilled to edge closer towards commencing the construction of the Tucker Lane House. Standing on an elevated site just outside Canungra in Queensland, the Tucker Lane House is surrounded by 50 acres of farmland providing beautiful rural views towards the mountainous ranges of the Scenic Rim. The linear, rational approach to the planning is a direct response to the opportunities of the site and, coupled with the ability to manipulate outlook and environment from within the house, provides a modern and contemporary take on the traditional ‘country homestead’ vernacular. This is particularly reflective of the exposed hardwood trusses and wrap-around verandahs juxtaposed with wide expanses of sliding glass doors and external adjustable blinds. These features also allow the pavilion to respond to different environmental conditions and the changing seasons whilst maximising views and outlook to the natural surrounds of the property. We hope you enjoy these 3D perspectives and watch this space for the next phase!
