Traditional lands of the Quandamooka people
Cutter is a family beach house at Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Island. The house is characterised by textured and natural materials that aim to engage and integrate the house with its surrounding context, being predominantly sand, timber and stone.
The planning of the house is composed of a series of smaller pavilions built around an external courtyard room where the family will gather. A carefully selected splash of pale blue throughout the house pays homage to the local vernacular ‘Straddie Shack’.
